Texas Health Centers STILL Need You! Join us in urging the Texas Legislature to vote for HB 290 by Rep. Philip Cortez to support healthy kids and HB 133 by Rep. Toni Rose to support healthy moms!
Both bills are part of the health care package recently announced by the Texas House Speaker — and both have a vote in the House TOMORROW, Wednesday, April 14th!
HB 290 would reduce the number of kids who are mistakenly removed from their Medicaid health insurance due to inaccurate eligibility reviews that occur just a few months after kids are confirmed to be eligible. HB 133 would allow moms to keep their Medicaid health insurance for 12 months after childbirth, not just two months.
HB 4 STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP Don’t STOP now, team!
The full House will also vote on HB 4 tomorrow. This bill permanently allows for the COVID flexibilities for telemedicine, including preserving Medicaid reimbursement for behavioral health audio-only visits and more flexibility in-home telemonitoring services to help support high-risk patients manage their chronic diseases safely and affordably from their homes.
